Overview

Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Veeam Backup & Replication which could be exploited by an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code, bypass security restrictions and gain elevated privileges on the targeted system.

Target Audience:

Enterprises and Large Organizations, cloud service providers using Veeam products.

Impact Assessment:

Potential for remote code execution, file manipulation, authentication bypass and privilege escalation.

Description

Veeam Backup & Replication is a data protection solution that provides backup, recovery, and replication capabilities.

Multiple vulnerabilities exist in the Veeam Backup & Replication product which could be allow any user who is part of the local users group or any domain user to exploit the flaws.

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code, bypass restrictions, manipulate files on the backup repository, or gain elevated privileges on the targeted system.
